In what is known as ikada kudari or downstream log rafting, this very Asian scene 1950's vintage Aloha shirt is from a company primarily know for dress making called Hale Holoku. Still common in the Wakayama Prefecture in Japan, tourists can still ride log rafts today down the Kitayama River just as they have done for eight centuries. Bright orange, red, blue and pale green colors light up the rafting scene and is not for those looking to blend in. It has a perfectly matched left chest pocket, blue domed buttons and horizontal button holes. Size not marked but measures LARGE, in inches - Shoulders 18.5, Chest 24, Length 30 and Sleeves 10. Excellent condition - tiny repair to the bottom back hem and a few pinholes. RARE Label.
