Sewn by one of the sisters, Jane Oda or Katherine Kawaguchi at the H. Miura Store on the North Shore in the 1950's. Founded in 1918, the H. Miura Store was THE store to buy palaka swim wear for surfers riding the huge North Shore waves. This bamboo and plumeria flower print 50's vintage Aloha shirt has a RARE label from a store that had low quantity runs. Gray, black and white bamboo vertically climb on the striking red background with red, pink and white plumerias. It has a left chest perfectly matched pocket, bamboo buttons and horizontal button holes. Size not marked but measures MEDIUM, in inches - Shoulders 18.5, Chest 22, Length 30 and Sleeves 9. Excellent condition - light yellowing on the rare label and light collar wear.
